About Me/ Company

I’ve been a dog owner for most of my adult life so I understand that your pet is one of your most treasured possessions, and I also know how difficult it can be to find someone you trust to care for them.

Until becoming a dog walker, I had worked as a family lawyer for over twenty years. Although my career was varied, I spent long days away from the things in life that I take most pleasure from; my family and my dogs.

I therefore decided to change things, and turn my love of animals into a way of ensuring that pet owners in York who can’t be at home with their dog during the day, or are having difficulty in walking their dog for any reason, can choose a reliable service, to provide them with the reassurance that their dog is being cared for in their absence.

At York Walkies I understand that your pet is a valued member of your family. You can be confident that I will give your pet the best care when he is with me.

I am currently owner of two greyhounds - Nancy and Buddy, who just like all the other dogs I have owned, have come from dog rescues, and have had their share of challenges and issues to deal with. You can therefore be reassured that I am an experienced dog owner and have the confidence to look after for your pet in a professional and caring way.
