About Me/ Company
Hi and welcome to Woofas - I'm Philippa. I offer a professional and caring service and have been running my dog walking, daycare and home boarding for over 8 years now - needless to say, I simply adore dogs and have been around them most of my life. I'm based in West Hampstead, London NW6 and for dog walking, cover parts of the neighbouring areas of NW2, NW3, NW6, NW10 & W9. I choose not to cover a vast area for dog walking, in order to minimise the time our loved ones spend in the car – they’re always way too keen to get to the Heath or park as quickly as possible! If you are in an area not listed here, please feel free to contact me and I’ll consider where you are. For daycare and boarding, doggies from further afield are most welcome.
I'm fully insured and can provide references upon request. I walk up to a maximum of 5 dogs at any one time, and take in up to a maximum of 4 dogs for daycare/boarding.
I shall care for your dog with the utmost vigilance and tlc, and you can rest assured that I will treat your dog as I do my own (her name’s Sasha – a gorgeous, lively rescue border collie-cross from the Mayhew).
I do have a couple of prerequisites and those are (a) that your dog is neutered (unless under 12 months old or for medical reasons) and (b) that they are good around other dogs. All new clients will have a free trial walk (for dog-walking and daycare) or a free trial overnight (for boarding), purely to ensure that they are happy and get on with a group.
For insurance purposes, I will need your written permission to let your dog off lead. I will need to see your latest records to show that your dog’s vaccinations are up-to-date and your dog’s flea and worm treatments should also be up-to-date.
Below is a guide to my prices, but there are other variations (too many to list) for example, if I am taking more than one dog from the same household, or if I walk your dog 5 days a week etc. Please contact me to discuss specific requirements/prices.
DOG WALKING: I'll come and pick up your furry friend in my air-conditioned people carrier and take him/her in a small group for a minimum of one hour's walk - usually on Hampstead Heath but we do visit other parks too on occasion, such as Gladstone Park, to offer a bit of variety for the doggies (and depending where I do my pick-ups). After our fun and frolics, I'll drop your happily-tired-out pooch back home, where if necessary, I can towel them down, administer medication, feed them etc.
£15 per walk (discounted to £14 if I walk your dog 5 days a week). Further reductions are available if taking more than one dog from the same household - eg £25 for two dogs.
DAYCARE: I can either pick up and drop off, or you can drop to me and collect later. Daycare doggies come out with me for the main walk and, depending on how many hours they are with me, will also get one or two additional shorter walks around the block.
£20 for up to 8 hours – or eg £35 for two dogs from the same household.
BOARDING: I’ll look after your doggies in my own home where they are free to sleep on sofas, beds etc. Prices include all walks and food, unless you want to supply a specific/specialist dog food.
£25 per night (up to 24 hours) – or eg £45 for two dogs from the same household.
I very much look forward to meeting you and your pooch.
All the best
Philippa
