About Me/ Company

Hi, my name is Colleen and I live in a lovely house with a large garden and small field at Ismere near Kidderminster. My home is called Woodcroft and this is where I look after dogs for other people for a full day, a few hours or for owners that cannot take their pets with them on holidays.
At Woodcroft Dog Day Care, we will do our best to provide your dog with a welcoming, safe place to spend their day, somewhere they will look forward to coming to play, interact and relax for a full day. Alternatively we will come to your home, collect your dog and walk/play with him/her for about an hour alone or with company, up to you.
We only have up to four dogs at any one time so your dog will never be lonely, overlooked or left out. He or she will be engaged as much as they want to be and resting quietly when they choose (should you leave him or her for the day with us). We love to see our dogs playing happily together as a pack or as an individual with a human friend.
We have one dog of our own whose name is Kyzer. He is a very happy boy who loves to play and interact. He is happy in the company of other dogs and will welcome your dog as much as we will.
The garden is safe and secure with plenty of room to run around, investigate and explore while they wait for the other dogs for the day to arrive. They will then go for a walk in our local Woods or along the bridle paths, Kinver, Wyre forest or Kingsford Country Park. Should your dog prefer a shorter walk then we will provide that. On nice days we will go somewhere your dog can have a swim, there’s a lovely stream we sometimes visit just down the road or Dowles brook in Bewdley. Upon return to Woodcroft your dogs will be provided with somewhere to rest in the house or garden, it’s up to them, and the weather. The afternoon consists of all the stimulation they may require. As we only have up to four dogs at a time, we will get to know everyone well and will soon learn what your dog likes to do and how he likes to do it. We have a small field at woodcroft and the dogs will be walked around this in the afternoon or they may have another short walk up the lane.
Should you need to leave your pet overnight with us for holidays or emergencies we can accommodate this. We strongly advise that you book your dates with us as soon as possible as we will book dogs on a first come basis. Should your dog stay overnight he or she will live with us in our home and be treated as one of the family.

Previous Experience

As a child of about 14 years I would collect several dogs from our neighbours in Bewdley and walk them at Dowels brook or along the river to Arley and back. It was my favorite pastime along with riding. I have always had dogs around me. When friends and family go on holiday or need a walker I get the job and I love it. I have been looking after dogs at my home and walking them as a job since October last year as I also work in care at night. I am now an active middle aged female, registered and have a licence and insurance to provide care and walk dogs and intend to do this full time.
