About Me/ Company

WALKIES provide professional and fully insured group and single walks along with other pet care services. I am CRB checked and fully insured including key holding. My name is Siobhan Griffiths and I live with my husband in Welwyn Garden City. I am a reliable, experienced dog walker who is passionate about animal's. I have owed and cared for Dogs, Cats, Horses, Rabbits and a tortoise since I was a child. I have a very bossy cat called ‘Jess’. Unfortunately my two cairn terriers ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ died at the ripe old age of fifteen. It was an extremely sad time and my husband and I decided we didn’t want to go through the loss of losing any more animals and so decided not to get any more dogs. I have to say we found this very hard and often I would find myself just having a look in the RSPCA centre! Then I had a great idea, why not look after other people's pet's and that’s when Walkies was born.

Previous Experience

I love animals and I’m never happier than when I am outside surrounded by them. When I was nineteen I studied at Glasgow Stud, Crews Hill, Enfield for my BHS.

In my thirty’s I trained as a professional dog groomer, whilst training, I worked at Medburn Boarding Kennels & Cattery in Elstree to gain more experience.

In 2011 I attended Writtle College in Chelmsford to complete a First Aid course for Canine’s and also Dog Training Instructors.

I am currently studying Canine Care, Training and Management at Writtle College.

I am CRB checked and fully insured including key holding.

Pet Care in your home - Areas as above

This service is designed for the care of cats, who are the most territorial of all domestic pets, and other small animals. It allows your pet to stay in the comfort of your own home with the security of familiar surroundings, smells and sounds when you are away.

We will clean feeding bowls, litter trays, cages, dependent on the type of pet involved.
We will give your pet some personal attention and will leave fresh food and water according to your instructions
We can also administer medication if required.
In addition we can bring in newspapers and mail, open and close curtains, water plants, etc and generally make the house look “lived in” during your absence

Home Boarding

As the perfect alternative to kennelling we will welcome your dog into our own home when you are away. They will be treated like one of the family, the only thing that is asked of them is they get on well with cats and dogs. They will receive 2 walks during the day and have free run of our secure garden. They will receive lots of love and affection with not a cage or kennel in sight!
