About Me/ Company
Hello, my name is Marion, and I am 'mature', reliable, honest and trustworthy person.
I have a huge affection for all animals, but have a real 'soft spot', for dogs of all types. I cannot keep a dog in my current property as my landlords terms & conditions will not allow it, so I am greatly looking forward to caring for the dogs of people like yourself, who need someone to help care for their pet, when they cannot be there themselves. I can give you my assurance that with me, your pet will have all of their needs catered for, be taken out for exercise during the day. have time for play, and will receive plenty of genuine love and affection too.
I live near Whiston Hospital, and will walk the dog/s of people who live in Whiston, Prescot, Huyton, Tarbock, Roby, Cronton, Eccleston Park, Grange Park, Penketh, Appleton and other areas of Widnes. Any areas not listed here, will also be considered, so please get in touch with me.
Areas within a three mile radius of the hospital are £10 for one dog, for an hours visit, which includes everything mentioned above. Additional dogs are £5 each.
Homes outside this radius will be charged an additional 50p a mile for extra fuel costs. My mileometer will determine the distance. (This is still represents excellent value for money, and is equal to the minimum wage). I am available 7 days a week, and any daytime or evening hours, (if you work shifts for example).
Previous Experience
Our family always kept a dog as a pet, and we were brought up taking a share in the responsibility of caring for them properly, and keeping them in good health. They all received lots of love and affection, and it instilled a love of animals in all four of us.
Since leaving home, I've had two dogs, each for 14 years, with a two year gap between. I have been without a dog for 5 years now, and miss their company enormously. The love shown to us by an animal is genuine, and has to be earned.
I am heartbroken when I read of any animal that is not treated with gentle loving kindness in every way. Where dogs are concerned, I do not condone choke chains for example, nor yanking dogs on their collars to bring them to heel. Dogs will respond well to mindful training, with gentle repetition softly spoken, and positive verbal praise given with a small treat as a practical reward. Do not worry if your dog is a little 'unruly', I will try to change any bad habits in small steps, included within their hour. If you notice that your dog is showing a benefit from spending time in my care, you can 'pay me' by passing on my details to family, friends, neighbours and work colleagues. Thank you.
Qualifications & Training
I have a 4 year B.A. Honours in English with Q.T.S. (Qualified Teaching Status).
But.... no doggy diplomas I'm afraid! However, I have oodles of practical experience, and good old common sense by the bucket load, which is far more valuable in my estimation...and that of your dog too probably! Your dog's safety will always be of paramount importance, and will always be treated with loving kindness.
Relevant Info
I can also offer an individualised HOME TUTOR service to Primary school aged pupils within a 5 mile radius of Whiston Hospital. (I would be prepared to consider other areas too).
I can teach all subject areas of the Primary curriculum, and can also focus on the aspects that children often struggle with, such as reading, spelling, mathematics, story writing and the dreaded 'homework'.
I can stop/minimise the arguments and stress that may be happening daily, between your child and yourself, caused by a school based angst.
Although your child may not be keen to have a HOME TUTOR initially, you will find that they do enjoy their hour session with me, and they will begin to make huge improvements in their written work, and personal confidence at school too!
I offer an hour 1-1 teaching session for £30, or 2 hours for £50 paid in cash only, one week in advance. A bargain that will pay dividends in the immediate and long term!
Other Services
DOGGY DAY CARE - If you are going to be away from home all day, and won't return until the evening, I will take care of your dog for the day, including at least two good walks, several 'play' times, food of your choice given, together with plenty of fresh water throughout the day. I will also 'talk' to them, (as I'm sure you must do), play with them outside and indoors, and give plenty of praise, strokes and cuddles. So, if you find you want/need to go out in the evening too, you don't have to feel guilty about leaving your pet in isolation for extended periods, as they will have had plenty of quality play and stimulus with me, throughout the day. Cost £25.
DOG SITTING IN THE OWNERS HOME - a less stressful experience for a well loved pet, and a familiar personalised service for pets and owners alike... compared to boarding kennels. I will cover all local areas, but am also prepared to travel further afield, if you are going away overnight, or for the weekend. This might be for a planned weekend break, a hospital stay or a business trip perhaps? Whatever it is, you can rest assured that once booked, I will stay and take care of your dog/s AND keep your home safe and secure too, for £35 each day. I will include all of the above, plus an early morning and late evening 'comfort break', to prevent any 'accidents'! I am very security conscious and will ensure everything is locked/alarmed, before taking your dog out for his/her constitutional, and even whilst we are 'at home'. For a week or longer holiday cover, the cost is £150 per week plus travelling expenses, which must be paid in cash, in advance. For these extended bookings only, I am prepared to cover the whole of THE BRITISH ISLES, and would consider travelling abroad too. Rates to be discussed.
