Hi, my name is Vanessa, known as Ness for short once formalities have been dispensed with-and to dogs as 'the comfy lap' :)
I have over 30 years of experience taking care of dogs.

Previous Experience

Four of my own, and many others including ones owned by my family and friends over the years. I live in a spacious ground floor and basement flat, 3mins (depending on how fast your dog walks!) from Parkland walk-a nature walkway running the 2 or so miles between Highgate and Finsbury Park- the perfect place for long walks with pooches. Additionally for shorter walks, depending on the age and movement ability of your dog, I have a grassed area opposite my flat and two parks at the end of my road.
I have always had a dog in my life since my teens and before I had my kids, so needless to say - I love them :) I attended and completed a dog training course when I got my very first own puppy, as I wanted to ensure I had a well trained and sociable dog from the start, so am very familiar with dog training techniques and the special requirements puppy care entails. I have also cared for dogs that have got to a very old age with restricted mobility and ill health so am able to understand and provide the sort of care and particular, specific considerations that involves.
Currently, for the first time in many years, I do not have one of my own, so taking care of yours would be an absolute delight. So long walks followed by lots of fuss and a comfy lap or cosy dog basket to snuggle up on await your beloved canine companion should you wish it :)
As an animal lover, I am open to taking care of any kind of pet you may have. Over the years I have had the pleasure of having, or looking after dogs, cats, mice, rats, guinea pigs, tortoises, fish, snakes, hurt wild birds, chickens, frogs, have worked on a City farm and have completed a course in bee-keeping. So whatever your pet it will receive a warm welcome:)
