At Meg's Doggy Daycare we are a family of dog lovers who feel the need to stop and say hello to dogs as we go about our daily lives, and we are also known to have rescued several dogs and safely returned them to their owners.

​However, there are two dogs in our lives who we have rescued and to our delight have became indispensable members of our family. Firstly, Didi, a mongrel from Hong Kong who we adopted at the age of 4-5 weeks old with her brother whilst living in Hong Kong several years ago. Then, more recently, we have adopted Duba, a Staffie, from Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. You will not find a more sensitive or soft dog.

I also have an elderly Golden Retriever, Lulu, who is very good at teaching young dogs manners, as well as showing them their place in the pecking order.

Meg's Doggy Daycare is operates out of my home with a large secure garden.

Previous Experience

I have been a dog owner since my teens so I have more than just a "few years" experience of walking and looking after dogs. Let's just say over 25 years experience.

As a dog boarding, dog daycare and dog walking business I know how important it will be to you that I have the following in place.

INITIAL CONSULTATION

We understand that as a dog owner it is very important to find someone that you trust and your dog likes, before you would consider handing your dog over into their care. At Meg's Doggy Daycare we insist on an initial consultation to make sure that you are comfortable leaving your dog in our care, whether it is on a daycare, overnight boarding or walking basis.

LEGAL STUFF

It is a legal requirement that a certain amount of paperwork is filled in before you can leave your dog with us. Once you are happy that your dog will be in safe and caring hands at Meg's Doggy Daycare it will be necessary to fill out a number of forms so that we have your vets details, your dogs routine, emergency contact details and lots of other details that will help us to ensure your dog is happy in our care.

Other Services

DOG WALKING

Dogs are as individual as we are so at Meg's Doggy Daycare we offer different types of walks to suit each dogs individual needs. A dog will only be walked off lead with signed permission by you, it's owner. I encourage a dog to be walked off lead if possible, as this allows a dog to maximise it's walk by running, sniffing and socialising with other dogs.

I am police checked so that you can rest assured that leaving keys with me to allow me to pick up and drop off your dog at your home is all part of the service we offer.

It will be necessary before I walk your dog for all of us to meet up to ensure we all get along and fun is going to be had by all.

Group Walks
​
A group walk consists of a walk of no more than four dogs walked together for an hour. This is an excellent walk for dogs that are sociable or a younger dog that needs socialising.

Price: £12 per dog
£8 for second dog from the same household
£5 for third dog from the same household

Solo Walks
​
If a dog needs individual attention or is not good at being walked with other dogs then this is the walk for your dog. This walk is an hour long.

Price: £20 per dog
​
Longer Walks
​
This walk consists of a two hour walk for very energetic dogs or perhaps for a dog that is left on it's own for a large part of the day. Again, a maximum of four dogs will be walked together.

DOG ​DAYCARE

We pride ourselves on being flexible so that you can fit your working hours around our doggy day care. Our normal hours are between 8am and 6pm but we are happy to fit in around you (there maybe an additional cost levied outside these hours).

A usual day at Meg's Doggy Daycare includes an hour long walk in the morning and then a shorter stroll in the afternoon. As I have dogs of my own there is also lots of doggy socialising taking place throughout the day, and a large secure garden to play in.

​As mentioned above, I do have dogs of my own who are used to welcoming new dogs into their home so it is best that your dog is happy to socialise with other dogs.

Price: Half day (up to 5 hours) - £15.00
Full day (up to 10 hours) - £25.00
Monday to Friday (10% discount) - £112.50
Additional cost per hour outside 8am to 6pm - £5.00

OVERNIGHT BOARDING

While you are away on holiday our aim is to make your pampered pooch feel secure, loved and part of our family. Knowing your dog is in safe hands means that you can go away on on holiday and relax and not worry about your dog.

It will be necessary for you to tell us as much about your dog and their daily routine before you leave your dog in our care so that we can keep to your dog's daily routine as much as possible. We will keep you informed on how your dog is getting on.

Your dog will need to pack a suitcase of their own to allow their own bedding, feeding bowls, food and toys to be brought along while they are boarding with us.
