As a dog walker, who is passionate about animal conservation and behaviour, I bring a unique perspective to my role. While my primary focus is on caring and walking dogs, my academic background in animal conservation and behaviour from Manchester Metropolitan University allows me to approach my job with a deep understanding of the natural world and the importance of preserving it.

Previous Experience

Having previously worked at a dog day care, I have gained valuable experience and skills that I can bring to a dog walking job role. My time at the day care allowed me to develop understanding of canine behaviour and the ability to handle dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments.

Additionally, working at the day care provided me with ample opportunities to exercise and stimulate dogs through play and structured activities. I understand the importance of physical exercise and mental stimulation in a dog's overall well-being, and I am committed to providing these elements during my dog walking sessions. Whether its engaging in interactive games, exploring new environments, or simply enjoying a brisk walk, I am dedicated to tailoring each outing to meet the specific needs and preferences of the dogs in my care.

Qualifications & Training

Persuing a qualification in animal management at college has provided me with a strong foundation of knowledge and practical skills that directly benefit my role as a dog walker. The course work and hands-on experience have equipped me with the necessary understand of animal behaviour, health, and welfare, allowing me to provide the highest level of care to the dogs entrusted to me.

As part of my studies, I have gained practical experience in handling and caring for animals, including dogs. This hands-on experience has given me the skills to confidently handle dogs of all sizes, temperaments, and energy levels. I am adept at recognizing and responding to their body language, ensuring their comfort and safety during walks. Additionally, I am well-versed in basic first aid for animals, allowing me to respond swiftly and effectively in case of any emergencies.
