Stan can be a handful if he sees a small furry, he must NEVER be let off the lead on walks as he will chase and probably not come back to you. He is a large dog so is quite strong. Otherwise he is friendly and gentle with people and other dogs (although I would be cautious with very small dogs because of their size).
He just needs a short walk in the middle of the day whilst I am at work to break up his day and for him to have a wee & stretch his legs. Alternatively he could just be let out in the garden to play but he must be supervised as he has been know to clear a 6 ft fence after a cat. We have a cat at home and they MUST be kept apart, ie kitchen door must be kept closed (we bolt it when we are out anyway).
