Hi,
We are going away for the weekend and I was going to put Alle in a local kennel that we used once last year. However, as we get closer to the date, I am realising that I don't want to leave her in a kennel environment as she is one of the family and I think she deserves more.
She is a lovely dog...we got her from the Dogs Trust last June and she has showered us in love from day 1! She is great with the kids (16,13 and 8) and also friendly with other dogs. However she is nervous of some strangers, especially if they are carrying equipment, sticks etc or wearing hats!
She may bark at them as we pass. She also sometimes reacts to trucks, buses, motorbikes on walks (usually at beginning of walk, less reactive when she's had a good run!) so I try to spot them first and give her treats so she is distracted.
She is fine off lead, loves to chase her ball and sometimes plays with other dogs when we are out. I really hope that someone likes the sound of her and is keen to get to know her. We hope to find somebody that can build a relationship with her and that we can use regularly (maybe a couple of holidays a year, plus odd weekend)
