About Me/ Company

My name is Joanne, I am single and aged 42yrs. I have worked in Motor Trade since the age of 17. I left Motor Trade in 2009 due to ill health. I had a cochlear implant on 15th January 2008. Best thing that has ever happened to me. I am able to hear a lot of things I have never heard before. Example birds tweeting, cat meowing, shoe heels clicking on pavement and so on. I could talk forever. I decided that dog walking would be ideal for me due to I love dogs and always will. I lost my Jake (Labrador/german shepherd) rescue dog in May 2008. I have not replaced him due to I am still grieving. So therefore I wish to give all my love and energy to your dog or dogs. I shall love them as my own. I wish to continue this dog walking as an employment for myself which suit my ability. Due to being deaf not daft (haha), I no longer want to work in an office environment, its to noisy for my implant. I need quiet and stress free environment. Dog walking is the job for me.

Previous Experience

I have grown up with dogs in our family. Especially rescue dogs.
I have always looked after the dog such as feeding, walking and bathing etc. I just love having them, they are my babies. Experience I have is looking after my own dog and a friend dog.
I look after them as they are my own. I go to Pugneys (Wakefield) to walk the dog and let them have a swim and play. I dry them. I walk them round pending on age. I always walked my Jake round pennine trails different ones due to we liked a new venture. I do not stick to same route, I like a challenge. Only if that is okay with the owner of course.

Qualifications & Training

Due to being in Motor Trade for 20yrs, I do not have any qualifications. Qualifications/courses I have or been on is all to do with office work. I know this is nothing to do with Dog Walking, just that with my personality and ability to be able to do the job is all I need. Its experience these days and I have that. I have two wonderful ladies that have taken me on. They are thrilled with my job with their babies. Labrador of one owner and terrier/beagle is the other owner.

I just love them all to death.....

Like I said I am single, unmarried and no children. Property/car owner so no problems if I need to drive to your property. Email and texting is the great way to get in touch with me.

I am wishing to take on dog walking part time as an employment. If I am successful, then I would like to do this full time.

So doggies tell your mum and dad that you want a dog sitter.....

You want a break lol..... Be good for mum and dad and they might just let you of the lead.

Other Services

Being deaf is not a bad thing to think of.... I am hard of hearing and not mute. I am quite clever and cautious. Being alert is best ability from a deaf person, we never miss a thing. Dog know these things and help a great deal and work fantastically well together.
Jake my recent dog was not a hard of hearing dog... But you would have thought so the way we worked together. I lost him due to ill health at the age of 10.

Giving me a trial period would be a great honour and you would not regret this at all.
