About Me/ Company

ICanWalkYourDog.com is owned and run by me, Karen Harvey. I have owned and lived with dogs almost my whole life, and have been a professional dog walker for eleven years now. Also I am currently studying canine psycology and behaviour in order to become a qualified Dog Behaviourist in the future. I have another person who accompanies me on all walks so there are two of us looking out for your dogs at all times.

We are both experienced dog walkers and we have regular clients in Cuffley, Cheshunt, Potters Bar and Cockfosters.

We are extremely fond of the dogs we walk regularly and treat them as our own. We carefully select dogs to walk together to make sure we have a happy, sociable group. We do two or three group walks a day.

We also have a dedicated facebook page where we regularly upload photos and videos of all the dogs we walk, so that the owners can get a little glimpse into their dog's social life, and can see where they have been! This has been extremely popular with all our clients!

Previous Experience

11 years experience of dog walking professionally.

CRB checked and fully insured, and we never exceed the amount of dogs we are insured to handle. Unfortunately we see a lot of dog walkers who take on more dogs than they are insured for, which is both irresponsible and dangerous.

We transport dogs in a properly ventilated van, in individual cages, so they have their own space to for the journey – this is really important for your dog’s safety while travelling, dogs can get very stressed if they are just left to travel loose amongst several other dogs in the back of a van.

Qualifications & Training

I am CRB checked and fully insured for dog walking and keyholding, and did weekly obedience training classes with my own dog. Currently studying dog behaviour and psychology course with the British College of Canine Studies.

Prices:
Monday to Friday dog walking (excluding bank holidays) £10 per dog
Extended service (two walks in a day with a rest between) £20 per dog

Other Services

If you need your dog to be looked after for an extended period during the day, we can take them on two of our walks with time to have a bit of a rest on the journey in between. This will mean your dog is in our company for up to four hours, after which they will probably sleep for the entire rest of the day! Useful if you are going to be late home! Just let us know the day before, if you can, if you would like to take up this option.

Checklist:
We will do at least an hour’s walk, not including travelling time to and from the chosen location
We will transport all dogs safely in individual cages, in a properly kitted out and ventilated van
We will never leave dogs unattended
We will only walk in safe areas away from roads and cars
We will allow your dog to exercise off lead - with your permission, and when we are sure your dog will return when called
We will fully respect your home and property
We will always take great care of your dog
We will contact you immediately if we have any concerns about your dog or your home
