About Me/ Company

FOR P4WS Dog Walking Service ..... My name is Nicole French. As you would expect I am a dog lover and have been my whole life. I have two dogs myself, Skye a border collie & Jazzmine a Jack Russell. After years of thinking about working with dogs, after a recent trip to Crufts, I have decided to finally take the plunge and offer my services as a dog walker in my local area.
I started as a teenager walking neighbors dogs as I wasn't allowed a dog of my own.I had always seemed to have an understanding of how to get dogs to do what I wanted without really realizing, When I was older I bought my first 2 collie pups (brothers) went to local dog training clubs with my hubby and a pup each, started to realise that I really did have "a way with dogs" and from there started breeding I.S.D.S Sheepdogs registered under the name "Colliecroft" for trialling / obedience etc and also trained my own collies for sheep dog trialling, local obedience and other activities.

Previous Experience

I currently volunteer as a Pet Dog Trainer and am a member of the committee at Scarborough All Breeds Dog Training Club every Sunday and also participate in the classes with my own dogs. Jazz the JRT has reached intermediate level and Skye has reached Advanced having been awarded every certificate and rosette that she can within the club. I now use her to demonstrate training techniques to club members. I have also recently been invited to take on the role of substitute trainer occasionally at Vale of Pickering Dog club held at yedingham. Skye participates in 2 classes there and has passed her Bronze good citizen KC award scheme and is shortly training for her Silver / Gold awards too.

Qualifications & Training

I have recently embarked on a scheme run by the Kennel Club whereby I can get City & Guilds qualifications as a Pet Dog Trainer plus any other modules I choose to study, with the ultimate goal of attaining my KCAI badge. All experience I have accrued over the years, plus any additional books read / training courses etc that I embark upon including being a trainer at our local clubs, are taken into consideration and credited to my KCAI membership and final assessment with a minimum of 5 years experience being deemed necessary to attain accreditation.

Relevant Info

My Jack Russell "Jazzmine" loves Flyball and has achieved Intermediate Obedience in our Scarborough Club. My Border Collie "Skye" has got every award she can at Scarborough before she was 20 months old and has her Bronze Good citizen award and will be taking Silver and Gold in the next few weeks at Yedingham. We are also part of both display teams for the summer shows.

Weekly rates available for Holidays etc.

Occasional DAY CARE
Per day £13.00/ £6.50 Additional dog same household

PET TRANSPORTATION (NO PET HUMANS Allowed, Sorry!)) £10 per hour plus 45p a mile

***Please note that I cannot accept dogs which are Reactive, aggressive or have severe behavioral problems towards humans / other dogs at the present time as I do not have the necessary qualifications to deal with these issues although I hope to further my education in these areas in the future.
