About Me/ Company

My name is Mary,I am new to the Powys/Kington area but loving it especially the walking.I previously ran a home dog boarding,dog walking,house sitting business with my husband.We can provide many excellent references.Please view our new Facebook page Border Walking to see lots of photos of some of our canine guests and some rewiews.

Previous Experience

I have always had dogs,I have an elderly Italian Spinone and rescue Greyhound,both bitches and both very good with visiting dogs.I ran our home dog boarding business for about 5years,with many happy customers.I particularly specialised in socialising,especially puppies and rescue dogs.I spent a lot of time observing dog behaviour and interaction and feel I have learnt a lot from watching many different dogs.I have spent most of my life around horses so I am also very comfortable with looking after horses and livestock.

Qualifications & Training

I do not have any relevant qualifications but I was licensed with Stroud district council to run the business.That involved complying with quite strict criteria and being checked regularly.

Relevant Info

I am in my sixties,have a lifetime of experience with animals and people.I have a car suitable to take dogs in.I possess lots of wet weather gear and am definitely not a fair weather walker.Having said that if you dog is a fair weather walker I will happily spend the time playing indoors or just having a nice chat and a cuddle.
