About Me/ Company
I set up Bark 4 the Park as my main passion in life is animals. I offer one to one dog walking where your pet is walked directly from your home in the area that he/she is familiar with. I offer various pet care services including cat feeding, aquatics and small animals. I also offer services such as nail clipping to clients. I am fully insured, police checked, vet recommended (Champion Vets Grangemouth) and I am a supporter of the Green Dog Walkers. I am based in Grangemouth and cover this area at rates listed but also cover Bo'ness and Falkirk which may incur an extra charge to compensate extra fuel used.
Previous Experience
I grew up with various animals and was taught welfare and respect from a very early age. I have studies animal psychology for over 30 years and have a particular interest in canine behavior. I am reliable, flexible and knowledgeable. Services are tailored to meet you and your pet's needs.
I have kept rescue dogs for many years and tend to adopt the 'problem' dogs to give them a chance of a normal life. At the moment I have Ruby, a lurcher mix, who is now 10 years old. She arrived with a lot of trust issues as a result of her previous life. With understanding and TLC she blossomed into a wonderful girl who is happy and incredibly loyal and affectionate. She has been my companion for 8 years now and is truly a once in a lifetime dog. Two years ago I brought a very scared traumatised little Podenco Orito from Spain. She was likely to never find a home due to her fear of people.....probably caused by not being properly socialised and also being a hunting dog which are renowned to having a harsh existence. She'd either been dumped or possibly left behind after a hunt and was found wandering the countryside. With the proper guidance she has become a happy girl who is very affectionate to those she knows......but remains aloof and timid with strangers. Her personality has shone through and it's been wonderful to witness this cheeky personality shine through. She has settled into home life amazingly well and it's one of the best things I ever did. For Roxy.....being taken out a crowded pound with no hope and brought to the UK has given her a new lease of life.
