About Me/ Company

Hello, my name is Barbara and I run PetBar. I live in Haughley, which is just outside Stowmarket and I am offering a fully insured dog walking and pet care service covering the local area.
I work completely on my own (although my other half does occasionally join me), but generally I’m the only person you and your pet will interact with.

Previous Experience

I have in excess of 20 years experience of caring for my own and other people’s pets of all kinds. We have two male Golden Retrievers aged 8 & 10 years old and a cat aged 16 years.
My aim is to look after your pet (or pets) when you have to leave them, whether this is because you are going on holiday, working, you have other commitments, or you are just in need of some extra help.
I offer a caring, reliable and trustworthy service for your pets - so you can be confident that your pet(s) are in safe hands. I have pet business insurance and references available upon request.

Relevant Info

Home pet visits occur between 8 A.M. and 10.30 A.M. It may be possible to arrange other times to suit you, for example in the evening.

Dogs are walked between 10.30 A.M. and 4 P.M., you can choose between a late morning or an early afternoon walk to suit your individual needs (subject to availability).

Other Services

Dog Walking
I provide a dog walking service where I pick up your dog (or dogs) and walk them individually or in pairs. If there is a convenient location nearby, we will walk there; if not then they will be driven to another safe location.

Home Visits
I can provide home visits for older dogs and puppies, cats and other small animals (including rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens etc). This visit can include feeding, grooming, changing litter trays, cleaning cages and general companionship / playtime - leaving them rested and chilled waiting for your return. [I will also clean up any accidents!]

Day Care Services
This is ideal if you are out all day. Your dog will spend the day with me and my own Golden Retrievers – we’ll be enjoying walks, playing, cuddling and getting fresh water and snacks.

Small Animal Boarding
This is where your small pet comes to stay with my family in our home, but they still live in their own hutch / cage – so don’t forget to let me have this when they come to stay!
