About Me/ Company

My Name is Alexa Ball, I am 28 years old, and I run a small independent Dog Walking/Sitting service. I live in West London and I accommodate Dogs in and around the area.

I had a lifelong passion to work with dogs; however my career started off very differently in the world of fashion! When I finally took the plunge to work with dogs, to be my own boss and to follow my dream, my only regret was that I did not do it sooner.

All of my clients are wonderful and I treasure each one individually.

I am more than happy to pop by and introduce myself to dog and owner before anyone has to commit as I feel that it is very important for the owner to feel happy and confident (as well as the dog) for their dog to be left in my company.

I have a car and I am willing to travel to owners preferred locations wherever possible and there is no job too small.

Previous Experience

I love dogs and I have been lucky enough to have been brought up with them my whole life (amongst many other animals) meaning I have had experience of many breeds and temperaments. The latest addition to the family is a rescue black Labrador called Tara. To say that she is amazing is an understatement and she has become the epicentre of the family.

I understand the importance and value each individual animal has to its owner and the trust that you are giving to those who look after your pets. I also understand that it is very important for your dog to feel secure and happy with their dog walker.

I started off my business by walking dogs for friend’s family and neighbours in London. Whilst doing this I met many other dog lovers/owners who wanted a friendly reliable dog walking service. I therefore decided to branch out further afield to offer my enthusiasm, passion and dedication to others.

I have walked all dogs of different shapes, sizes, strengths and ages. Some with feisty energetic personalities and others as calm, collected and chilled out as they come. There is no dog too small and certainly no dog too big.

Qualifications & Training

No certified qualifications, yet I am very confident with any bread, shape, size or strength. I have had to walk many dogs that have been lead pullers who consequently have needed a lot of attention and therefore have been walked alone. With perseverance and dedication these dogs have improved massively, so much so that I have been able to integrate them into group walks.

I have an abundance of enthusiasm, dedication and over 20 years if being around and loving dogs of all shapes sizes and breeds.

Relevant Info

I have also lived and worked in Sri Lanka where I worked as an Art teacher at an international school.

As much as Sri Lanka is a beautiful country it does have a severe problem with stray animals particularly dogs. I found this incredibly difficult to handle whilst living out there as there was very little acknowledgment or recognition to this huge problem.

I therefore set up an animal awareness group at the school where we raised money through charity events. The children loved to help and were equally as passionate. I like to think our small difference helped a few lost and homeless animals out there and at the very least inspired some of the children to continue to raise awareness for the future.
